Castrol Ilocut EDM 401 is a low-viscosity, low-aromatic dielectric fluid designed for finish and semi-finish electrical discharge machining (EDM). It provides high metal removal rates, low electrode wear and outstanding surface finish.

Applications

  • Finish and semi-finish EDM operations
  • Machining of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
  • Precision components, moulds and toolmaking
  • Systems with pressure circulation or gravity filtration
  • Note: Not suitable for roughing operations or special heavy-duty EDM processes.
